Unlike our other projects, in Catflat we work for a group of Mainecoon cats. The goals were to design a living space for this cold-climate cat breed to survive the tropical climate.
The rooms are divided by the sex as the male Mainecoons tend to have territorial behavior. While they could have their own space, the female and kitten shared a large space. These spacious rooms, furnished with ram, boxes, trees with ropes, and scratching boards; accommodate their intelligence and active nature.
For safety and convenient maintenance purposes, we built the cage with glass and metal mesh at the upper part of the cage. We also designed a grooming and feeding area equipped with ergonomic cabinets.
